My car is one of the possessions I have that I value the most, along with my ps3 and my super comfy bed. I got my car on my 16th birthday after my dad went out and picked it up from the dealer. I had previously found the car online and showed him what a good price it was listed at compared to other cars like it. This car is a 2010 Dodge Charger SXT and its been under my possession for just over a year now. While it did come with a nice metallic paint job a Charger decal on both sides and a spoiler I have made many improvements on its appearance. When I first got it my cousin had just gotten subwoofers in his car so I knew I needed them. I got those along with an amp to route enough power to those two twelve inch monsters. The second improvement I did was tinting the windows to 35%. That is the legal limit as of know as stated by laws of Illinois. The third appearance upgrade I made was to my headlights. I put in some new and improved bulbs that have a bluish tint. The last upgrade I am still working on which is installing a new grille that is all stainless steel mesh. It will look awesome but is difficult to remove the front bumper in order to install it.
here is link to grille I have purchased:

Car on my 16th birthday:
Nick,
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty nice ride. When I was 16 I was cruising the streets in my mom's white mini-van. Clearly you have more street cred than I did. I'm curious as to why there is such popularity with making these exterior upgrades on cars? Where is the motivation behind it? What might it say about our society that people are often so consumed with the appearance of their cars? Beyond that, what do our cars say about us on an individual level?
Nice post - keep it up!
