I have literally just come home from our football celebration night. It is a night to celebrate the freshmen who are now becoming sophomores, the juniors taking the role as leading class, and saying farewell to the beloved seniors. It started out giving freshmen their certificates and then the juniors. Finally the seniors got theirs. All of the senior captains gave speeches on what it means to be a team and recalling some of the great moments we cherished together. Each graduating senior also had their baby photo displayed along with their senior year football photo to show where these men came from. At the end of the video our coach gave a very personal speech about how life is short and we need to remember what is good and understand that the family we have made on our fields; through blood sweat and tears will be engraved in our hearts and minds forever. Twenty or thirty years on in our life we will recall these great days in our childhood and remember those who stayed with us in times of tormenting losses and the times of great victories. Many of my fellow classmates will become just another face in the crowd to me but my teammates, my brother will never be far from my mind.

turkey day

I am very excited for the coming thanksgiving! Every year my whole family and I go over to Iowa and spend the break with most of my family. I would say on average there are about thirty people who I enjoy thanksgiving with each year. Needless to say, with that many people you need a lot of food. My mom began baking for the dinner last night and she made cranberry cookies and regular chocolate chips too. I have always told her not to put nuts in the cookies but she likes them so she added nuts all the time. However, this year I got her to agree that the cookies don’t need the nuts. As good as her cookies are the thing I am the most excited for is the crazy amounts of turkey and gravy followed by a big poker game. I have grown up loving pie but not really pumpkin pie. My grandpa is an abide pie maker and he makes some crazy good rhubarb and apple pie that is to die for. One of my favorite parts of going to Iowa is seeing my family whom i rarely get to see, all the little kids and aunts and uncles, and cousins. That’s what thanksgiving is really all about. Have a great thanksgiving everybody! Gobble Gobble!

As of this Friday I will be going to the Iowa Hawkeyes versus Michigan State Spartans game at Iowa. Just last week Iowa had a raging upset against Michigan and now it is time for state to go down! My sister currently attends the University of Iowa so she scored me a ticket in the student section and I will use my cousin’s ID who also goes there. I have been so excited recently to be able to see my sister and go to this game. I have even been talking to Tyler, saying that we already beat Michigan adding a state to it won’t make it any harder. His counter argument was they beat Michigan as well so it is no point to stand on. However, I will continue to brag and if for any bind blowing reason Iowa losses I will eat my words and submit to him, but until that time I will do all the dirty talk warfare I can! This is my first game attending of the season and they have yet to lose a home game so if they lose this one I am the jinx and shouldn’t go to anymore games for the rest of the season.

my suit!
On Sunday the 23rd of October I went paintballing with my dada and some friends that are in the organization Trail Blazers with me. On September 3rd I had ordered a ghillie suit for when I go paintballing and to use for Halloween. By the time the 23rd had arrived my suit had still not come in the mail! You can imagine how frustrated I must me. They ironic part is that the following Tuesday when I got home from school it had finally arrived three days after I needed it. I am choosing to look at the positive perspective of this because my suit did not get dirty therefore I can wear it inside houses on Halloween night. The suit is really cool because it makes me look like a bush or part of the weeds when I curl up next to grass. The drawbacks of such a monstrous hiding suit id that it is extremely hot and difficult to move around in, but when paintballing you don’t have to be a sprinter you can lay low, be a shrub, and guard that base. I’m excited to wear it for Halloween and wonder what my friends will think of it. Is there a wear your costume to school day this year?

mw3
My mind is racing about the upcoming game Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3! It is set to be released on November 8th in two different edition types. There is the regular version which cost the basic 60 dollars like every new released game and there is the hardened edition which comes in at a hefty 100 dollars. I have never purchased a more expensive game than 60 dollars. However, about 3 weeks ago I pre-ordered the hardened version after saving up enough money to buy it for a while. The reason I wanted to get the more expensive one was because of all the extras it came with. The hardened edition includes a 100 page book of picture and stories of the game, a year membership to Call of Duty Elite Premium membership, and some special deigns artwork. Just about all big games these days have a more expensive version but CoD is one game I have stuck to and have been playing for a long time now. I own CoD’s 3 through Black ops which is the seventh and MW3 will be the eight. If this game is as good as previous ones I will stick with their product for a long long time.

what im doing in art class

In art class right now I am making a sculpture of a tusken raider. I am hoping it will be a mast you can actually wear! It is going to be really cool but also really hard to make! Especially with one hand injured still. I am doing just a smooth head and adding the metallic party on along with their coated spray paint (silver) to match a metal like color. The cloth on the head is going to be actual cloth I will take scissors and fray them to look old and glue it around the head. I have loved stars wars and the story behind since I was a kid because my dad got me into it. What is not interesting about over 500 species we have never seen before living together and each with their own unique characteristics. They go to war make peace and some are more like our animals who don’t have much for a thought process. The tusken raider specifically is a group of wild savages that live on Luke Skywalkers home world and end up killing hid mom. They have extremely narrow tunnel vision and cannot speak except for grunting sounds. I wanted to do a storm trooper head but it was too much of a molded shape to replicate by hand.

With new release of the Iphone 4S, Apple has changed the cellular phone industry once again. Their previous phone was just the Iphone 4, so pretty much they just added an S. but there are some big technological differences between them. Although the iphone 4 and the 4S both come in white and black and look the exact same on the outside the 4S makes the 4 look like a child’s Leapfrog. Underneath the cover screen of the Iphone 4S there is a A-5 dual core chip, which is the same thing that powers the Ipad 2. Its predecessor (the phone I currently have) is only powered by a A-4 single core processer. The 4S with this chip can deliver twice the power as well as seven times faster graphics. However this chip is not its only improvement. It also has a better camera on the rear of the phone. The old version had a 5 megapixel camera where the enhanced version now has a 8 megapixel camera along with better face detection sensors for focusing. Storage for these pictures and whatever other amazing things you can do on these devices is always a deciding factor when it comes to purchasing them. The new 4S has the option of a 64GB model which is double the biggest on the previous phone. All these improvements make you wonder where our phones will be in 20 years!

There are so many zombie related games being resealed these days but each one seems to have its own special trait or unique quality. Today I got the fourth zombies map pack on Call of Duty Black Ops which is named moon. The goal is to shoot as many zombies and survive for as long as possible on a low gravity moon surface. There are about 6 other maps that Cod has released prior to moon. However, they are not the only makers of zombie games. About 2 weeks ago a really fun role playing games called Dead Island was released. It is a first person game type with 4 different characters to pick from. In Dead Island the goal is to level up and get off the zombie infested island. Another huge zombie Game is Left 4 Dead one and two where you kill many different types of zombies and race from safe zone to the next. As in all of these games ammo is scarce so you have to make sure you use it wisely. These great games make you wonder what is in store next in the realm of zombie slaying.

Blogging about my car
My car is one of the possessions I have that I value the most, along with my ps3 and my super comfy bed. I got my car on my 16th birthday after my dad went out and picked it up from the dealer. I had previously found the car online and showed him what a good price it was listed at compared to other cars like it. This car is a 2010 Dodge Charger SXT and its been under my possession for just over a year now. While it did come with a nice metallic paint job a Charger decal on both sides and a spoiler I have made many improvements on its appearance. When I first got it my cousin had just gotten subwoofers in his car so I knew I needed them. I got those along with an amp to route enough power to those two twelve inch monsters. The second improvement I did was tinting the windows to 35%. That is the legal limit as of know as stated by laws of Illinois. The third appearance upgrade I made was to my headlights. I put in some new and improved bulbs that have a bluish tint. The last upgrade I am still working on which is installing a new grille that is all stainless steel mesh. It will look awesome but is difficult to remove the front bumper in order to install it.
here is link to grille I have purchased:

hunger games movie on the way.
Recently there was a very short trailer released for the upcoming movie The Hunger Games. This movie is based off of the book by Suzzane Collins where she tells a fiction story about a future America run by an oppressive capitol and one girl as a symbol of hope for all the people who desire to revolt. There are three books to this trilogy and I have read the first and the second. I have purchased the third book but don’t want to start it because I know that we are starting a book in American studies class soon. I find it almost impossible to be reading two different books and not get parts of them confused, even if they are vastly different. Once we get a solid few week break after reading our first book I plan on starting the third book and see how the revolution from the slaves of the capitol is going, but until then I am left with wandering thoughts of how this trilogy could possibly end. Who knows maybe the author will throw a curve ball and make a fourth book! Has anyone else read this book or even heard of it for that matter?
